About Maila Atelier
Maila Atelier is a small, slow studio rooted in the belief that everyday objects deserve to be beautiful. Founded in 2024 by Fiona, a Hongkonger living in London, the studio was built on a simple love: the quiet satisfaction of making something by hand, and the joy of carrying it into the world.
The name “Maila” comes from the Cantonese “mai la” — a warm, playful nudge that means “go on, buy it.” It captures exactly the feeling Fiona wanted to create: that little spark when you find something that feels made just for you.
